Your Friendly Ghost

I consider my ghostwriting services as a privilege to write on behalf of others. I define success as client satisfaction, particularly as it relates to the quality of the work, relationship throughout the project, and referrals of my ghosting services to others. While I enjoy writing both fiction and non-fiction, I am not a generalist who'll write anything just to get work.

I specialize in:

Business Books

Leadership, customer service & journey mapping, team building, communication, employee engagement.

Spiritual Books

For people who consider themselves more spiritual than religious; science & spirituality; anthologies.

Blogs

Blog articles in business and spiritual categories, designed to support your specialty areas. (We can also help with design.)

Fiction, Short Stories

Suspense, romance, thrillers, and more.

Memoirs

Every story deserves to be told, to create a legacy for your family.

eBooks, Articles

All categories, designed to support your specialty areas.

Ghostwriters are people who are contracted to write a book (or other written works like those mentioned above) for someone else who is the named author. As your ghost, my name will not appear anywhere in your work, because, well, that would defeat what it means to be a ghostwriter. Don’t you agree?

Just so you know, ghostwriting is—and always has been—an incredibly common and accepted practice. Many famous celebrities, actors, businesspeople, athletes, politicians, and novelists hire ghostwriters to write books for them. So, your contracting me would not be unusual at all! IN fact, you'll be in really good company!

A Few More Things I'd Like to Share:

When you hire me to ghost your literary work, I’ll schedule a brief initial interview so we can discuss the ghostwriting process together. (See the FAQs I’ve included to give you an idea of what’s involved). While every book is unique, I’m generally able to complete a nonfiction book manuscript of 25,000 to 50,000 words or a novel manuscript of 45,000 to 85,000 words within 90 to 210 days, assuming I have all of the information I need and our ghosting partnership is able to keep things on track.

I’ve been ghosting for over forty years and I feel led to tell you a couple of things about the ghostwriting business that may surprise you. Developing a high-quality ghostwritten work can take from dozens of hours to hundreds of hours of labor and requires a high level of writing, editing, and researching expertise—soooo, don’t be tempted by writers who market extremely low prices and promise to complete a project in a surprisingly short period of time, just to get the work. As the old maxim goes: ‘You get what you pay for!

You should always pay for ghosting services in installments and never, ever—did I say never—pay 100% upfront. After the initial deposit, make subsequent payments only if you’re happy with what the ghost has written so far. Working with a ghost is a collaborative effort, but you should have the final say on all content decisions. If a ghost is unwilling to put your needs and requests first, the finished product won’t be your book—it will be his or hers. And that’s not the way ghosting works.

One more thing: beware of working with large ghostwriting, editing, and publishing firms. While some are absolutely reputable and qualified, many are overbooked and may find it difficult keeping the promises they make to you. A lot of their volume work is templated and may not be original to the work at hand.

PS: You’ll see from my bio that I’ve written four suspense novels. I’ve also written over 64 nonfiction books, including eBooks. So you see, a great deal of the satisfaction I get from ghosting is the writing itself, because I love to write!
